1. RAM and ROM basically do the same thing, they store data though the only difference, RAM stores the working memory of a computer meaning while you're using your computer, the data it uses stores temporarily until you shut down your computer. While the ROM can store your data even if you shut down your computer.
2. DVD ROM and DVD RW is an optical disk that contains computer data, the difference between them is everything inside of DVD ROM cannot be changed nor erased, you can only read it but you cannot make changes. While the DVD RW allows you rewrite, copy, cut, erase, basically you can make changes with DVD RW
3. Mentioned in its name, USB can be used as everywhere as possible. It is universal. It is the most common ports, I suppose, that are easy to find and accessible in every devices, not just computers.
4. Most recent video games have higher resolution/video performance, so for a better outcome of graphics of your video game and so you can enjoy your game more, you definitely need a GPU.
5. I read in some sites that hard drive is like a magnet, so basically it holds the data like a nail in a magnet, until you demagnetize it or delete it, it will hold on and store even if your computer is turned off. The currently average storage size of a hard drive is 590 GB.
6. Floppy disk is a square-shaped storage disks that has 3 different sizes: 8-inch, 5¼-inch and a 3½-inch. It can store 1.44 MB of data. Unlike hard drives, floppy disks storage capacity is really low and there's no way of making the storage capacity bigger so it's getting obsolete.
7. Unlike magnetic disks type, flash drives doesn't have physical moving parts, the data stored electronically instead of magnetically which many of us prefer since it's much faster. Though it has some drawbacks too, it can become corrupted and unreadable resulting from being shared to a computer and into another.
8. Fibre optics are faster than copper wire and wireless since it traveled through the speed of light and can passed through plastics or glass, it doesn't boiled down easily unlike copper wire and it cost cheaper than wireless. It can be measured by wavelength, and power range.
Part 2
The dream computer that I want is only a simple and easy to use, I don't want it to be exaggerated, complicated and gamer type of a computer, since I'm not a gamer. I personally want it to be cheaper, but if the quality of the expensive one is better than the cheaper one, then I'll definitely go for it.
I based the parts of my dream computer from various reviews of others and the price. I checked their reviews if that brand and that model has a good quality, a good performance and a good price.
